What You’ll Be Doing:
- Define, design, and implement next-generation IoT telematics components. You’ll drive feasibility studies and spearhead the development of smart sensors and integrated systems that redefine material handling.
- Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality) to ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Leverage your expertise in electronics to create, integrate, and refine smart hardware solutions that push the boundaries of IoT technology.
- Develop and maintain key engineering documentation - DFMEA, DVP&R, test plans, calibration procedures, and technical manuals - to uphold quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools (DMM, oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, etc.) to rapidly identify and resolve hardware and software issues in real time.
- Lead technical discussions with internal and external suppliers to troubleshoot integration challenges and secure optimal component solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering).
- 10+ years of experience in Electrical Systems Engineering - ideally with a strong background in IoT or related fields.
- Deep knowledge of electronics design (PCB schematic and layout) coupled with working knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, Python), and expertise in designing for manufacturability.
- Extensive experience with system integration tools (CANalyzer and CANbus) and a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics and controller hardware/software.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to manage complex technical challenges under pressure.
- A strategic thinker who excels at articulating technical concepts and collaborating with diverse, cross-cultural teams.
- Willingness to maintain a regular onsite presence while balancing strategic responsibilities and day-to-day project management.
Where and When You’ll Work:
- This is an in-person role located at our Columbus, Indiana - ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $118,500 - $160,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
