In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of content creation and review, ensuring a positive user experience across the platform. Your expertise in online trends and cultural nuances will be essential in shaping the way users interact with content every day.

As a Content Specialist, you will play a crucial role in crafting, refining, and evaluating content across diverse platforms. You’ll leverage your exceptional writing skills and understanding of social media dynamics to create engaging and informative experiences for users. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a global platform and influence how people connect and communicate.

What You’ll Do:

  • Write, edit, and review content across various platforms, adapting your style to suit different needs and audiences.
  • Analyze content performance and provide actionable insights to improve user engagement and platform effectiveness.
  • Implement content guidelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and a positive user experience.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and internet culture to develop culturally relevant and engaging content.
  • Collaborate with content and product teams to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as needed.

Must-Haves:

  • 6+ years of experience in journalism, digital content strategy, production, or related fields.
  • Experience in prompt engineering, annotation, and using AI tools.
  • Deep understanding of social media trends, internet culture, and viral content dynamics.
  • Strong editorial judgment and critical thinking skills, particularly regarding sensitive topics.
  • Familiarity with AP Style.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel) and/or other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience creating and publishing multimedia content (text, audio, and video).
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Advanced experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Experience working with large datasets of text.
  • Deep understanding of content moderation principles and practices.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.09 to $52.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
