Powder River Energy Corporation (PRECorp), Wyoming’s largest electric distribution cooperative, serving its five northeastern counties with residential and commercial electric service, is currently seeking a Project Manager to be located in our Gillette, Wyoming office.
Manages, plans, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed period and funding parameters. This position manages and reports on project schedules, progress reports, and project budgets for internally funded capital projects, member driven construction projects, and numerous other corporate or department internal projects.
To manage the corporate accounting and financial functions of the Cooperative. To plan, direct, coordinate, review and monitor all financially related policies and procedures to ensure the proper utilization and internal control of the Cooperative’s assets.
To ensure that rates and margins are appropriate to maintain a continue sound financial position. To ensure the cooperative has adequate short-term and long-term financing available.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills needed for this position:
Knowledge of the principles of Project Management and ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Efficiency at record keeping required.
Knowledge of RUS Work Order processes and accounting desirable.
Ability to manage large complex projects to assure timely completion and within budget.
Skill in performing duties with the use of appropriate computer and general office equipment.
Ability to follow oral and written instruction and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and landowners.
Solid communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with membership on technical matters on distribution systems including underground verses overhead, transformer sizing, conductor sizes, location of service, electrical inspection procedures, and other questions, which may arise.
Must be highly self-motivated, able to adapt to a variety of working conditions, and be willing to perform a number of tasks outside the normal routine of the job.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Engineering, with four (4) years’ experience in project management. Solid skills in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Project Management Institute certification of Project Management Professional is preferred.
Experience as a ScrumMaster is preferred.
