Our leading innovative consumer brand is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join their team for a 3 month freelance assignment offering 40 hours/week. This role is hybrid in Cupertino. Duration: extensions approved quarter by quarter.
Hybrid schedule: Tues/Wed/Thurs onsite, Mon/Friday remote.
Summary: We are looking for someone with ideally a background in mechanical engineering or experience in consumer electronics and 3D CAD. This role requires solving mechanical problems with a cross functional team. Work will include 2D drafting, 3D modeling, vendor communication, design for manufacture. Assignments will include working with electrical engineers as we develop flexes and cables for the product.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years relevant experience
- Bachelors degree required
- background in mechanical engineering or experience in consumer electronics and 3D CAD
- experience with 2D drafting, 3D modeling, vendor communication, and design
