Position Summary:
The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for supporting a team to deliver superior customer service by developing and aligning tactical plans that leverage standard processes and eliminate waste across multiple functions including: Vend Planning; Distribution Planning; Merchandising Planning; and Sales & Logistics Planning. They will drive profitable growth by engaging and partnering with Sales, Delivery, and Warehouse operations to provide efficient and effective logistics planning services. This role will fuel a culture of Operational Excellence by leading by example and through training utilizing a continuous improvement approach embedded in the DSD planning process
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of highly engaged, diverse professionals to drive value to our business through business results and by maximizing the return on our “investment in people”.
- Drive profitable growth by engaging with sales, delivery, and warehouse operations to provide efficient and effective logistics planning services
- Manage and consistently achieve key performance metrics that show the departments effectiveness to corporate objectives
- Maintain working knowledge of all department IT applications and SOP’s and ensure team is adhering to and optimizing available methodologies and resources
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with 3 plus years of related experience and 0 to 1 plus years of supervisory experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 6 plus years of specific experience and 1 to 2 plus years of supervisory experience
