Role: Financial Analyst
Contract Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Rate: 45/hr W2
Onsite in San Antonio, TX (78215)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Supports the stakeholder data analysis & reporting functions within the organization. Business activities will include all general responsibilities related to daily, weekly & month-end close processes, forecasting, detailed customer data review, analysis & reporting. Responsible for assisting/managing dashboard reporting processes as well as completing day to day analysis that provide the business units with quality information for decision making. Provides solutions to problems of varying scope and complexity - the duties will not always be standardized and will often be performed without appreciable direction.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Analyze information – review historical data and trends with prior years. Work with analyst groups and management to explain analysis and assists/manages the month-end results and close process.
• Conduct and reconcile assigned as monitor for Risk mitigation activities and processes within Business Unit. Prepares reports and provides solutions as needed.
• Assist and manage the development of customer dashboards & reporting within organization.
• Conduct Executive Dashboard reconciling and reporting for Business Areas.
• Conduct and manage completion of annual Benchmarking data collection from system and various key stakeholders.
• Assist and manage the development of process improvements in for internal/external customers as it relates to customer data analysis and reporting.
• Assist and manage information requests related to customer data, historical information, and other business and financial needs. Prepares reports and provides solutions as needed.
• Assist with system, reporting & dashboard development and other related projects and initiatives.
• Prepare various customer analysis and modeling as requested in support of business decision making including but not limited to strategic, valuation, segment, trend analysis
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis related reports.
• Assist in customer reporting, data mapping, and systems integration
• Provide general training/specialized training to internal/external customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision.
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Active learning the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a particular field of specialization
• Ability to make recommendations and independent decisions.
• Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other areas to achieve goals and objectives.
• Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks
• Core responsibilities focus on operational/tactical aspects of the organization and some administrative focus
• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting and business environments
• Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to senior analyst/program manager based on sound analysis
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
• Well informed in current customer related subjects, in addition to financial/accounting and business
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting or Finance OR equivalent experience in related field
• Proficient in SAP, Power Point, Visio, Access/Oracle Database, ARM, GIS, BI Reporting.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or Alteryx. •
Proficient in programming with SQL, VBA, Python, R, or SAS.
• Proven working experience as a data analyst
• Strong skills and experience manipulating large accounts data to provide insight.
Working Environment
Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi?functioning printer and calculator. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
