The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Business Analyst, Enterprise Project Management Office for our Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).
Starting base salary = $66,000- $82,500- $99,000 (commensurate with related experience). The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
The Business Analyst will be a trusted advisor to a wide range of business stakeholders, responsible for liaising between the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), IT and the various business units of the AHA to understand business needs and deliver solutions that improve the quality of business processes, products, and services for the association's members and entities.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business requirements, document process flows (As-Is / To-Be) for both technical and process-driven solutions.
• Convey business needs to technical teams and functional stakeholders, and ensure delivery of solutions that satisfy those needs.
• Perform and facilitate quality assurance and user acceptance testing of delivered solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues across a range of platforms and tools, and facilitate efficient development of solutions and/or improvements.
• Maintain an understanding of the business strategy and mission, and leverage knowledge of the external marketplace and evolving technologies to recommend innovative solutions to business needs, presenting ideas to management before presenting to the business.
• Communicate with external technology vendors regarding project scope and business requirements, as relevant.
• Recommend standards and procedures for business analysis and create related documentation.
• Assist in administration of Smartsheet (or other project management platform) as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
