Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the company’s shared services department which provides service to the 16,000+ Toyota Industries Associates. This person will be the technical expert and will manage the programs within their department. This position will handle all aspects of the programs to ensure seamless operation for the shared service function. This person will provide direct customer service to group company administrators, corporate staff, and vendors. Employees in the performance of their job duties will respond to project inquiries and resolve complex escalated issues. Will assist in overseeing the daily workflow of the department and department strategy.
Work Location:
Hybrid work: This position will have the option for remote work coming into the office 3 days per week.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Performs work with limited general guidance from Manager.
- Provides direction, mentorship, technical, and regulatory guidance for less experienced associates in the Department.
- May recruit, interview, recommend for hire, and train new staff.
- May supervise and prioritize duties to department associates assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervises employees who coordinate and administer employee benefits programs.
- Provides guidance to subordinates and to employees regarding the organization's employee benefits programs.
- Maintains records, booklets, prospectuses, or other documentation relating to the benefits offered.
- Answers questions and escalates more complex issues to vendors or administrators.
- Ensures calculations and withholdings are accurate.
- Assists employees in understanding the organization’s benefits offerings and acts as a liaison between the organization and third-party benefits providers.
- Conducts orientation or enrollment meetings, advises on eligibility, costs, and coverage, and provides information for use in memos, presentations, or other benefits communications.
- Conducts research and analysis of industry trends, employee surveys and workplace best practices in order to design benefits packages that are competitive, meet employee needs, and support organizational goals.
- Reviews cost and usage rates of existing benefit programs to assess actual and perceived value.
- Researches and evaluates third-party benefits vendors; may participate in selection and implementation of providers.
- Assists in benefits communications and open enrollment.
- Answers questions from employees regarding benefits offerings and eligibility.
- Ensures offerings comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, in relevant or related business field.
- 5+ years of relevant or related business experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- PHR/SPHR/CEBS certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate standard office equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and printer.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Work will be performed in an open office environment with cubicles.
Travel:
Travel may be required up to 10%. This position typically travels domestically to training or subsidiary locations.
