Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an IT Sys Arch Sr. Principle as an Architecture Continual Improvement Manager to join our team located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia supporting Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) efforts to implement the architecture, required services, and facilitate Army adoption of the DoD Cloud services. The program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) to support overall strategy and migration to the Army cloud (cARMY) environment that currently includes Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure clouds at IL 2, 4, 5 and 6.
The successful candidate provides system integration support for ECMA. Supports Architecture Continual Improvement; ensures flexible and scalable IT service solutions that will enhance each supported activity's ability to respond to dynamic needs in their respective AOR; Deliver improvements to support operational, technical, and program efficiencies to effectively manage costs without compromising the timeliness or quality of services; help meet the needs of the growing complexities of the technological and operational environment. Recommends and tracks architectural tasks to improve the quality of services over the life of the Task Order.
Develops the core technical platform, capabilities, and services that support business processes and data including: Mapping the relationships between IT platform/infrastructure components (i.e., Technology End Users, IT Systems Software & Hardware, and Info-Communications Transmission Networks). Identifying the key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms impacting the organization's ability to achieve integration, compatibility, and performance targets. Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.





Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+years working experience, may substitute experience for education such as High School graduate with 10+ years of experience; candidates with Armed Forces courses, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply
  • DoDM 8140.03 (former DoD 8570.01-M) Intermediate (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) qualification (e.g. Security+ CA) within 6 months of starting position
  • Must be located within 75 miles of ECMA at Ft. Belvoir, VA.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • ITILv4 Foundation
  • Agile Certification
  • Cloud Certification
  • PMI Project Management Institute PMP


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
