As an Advanced Systems Engineer withinHoneywell Space Engineering, you will be part of a team developing the Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System (CDRILS), a life support system for space and terrestrial applications, and other technologies that make it possible to live and breathe.
You will be a technical lead for all aspects (design, build and test) of a CDRILS qualification unit and contribute technically to Honeywell's Environmental Controls and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) product line. In this role, you will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that drive innovation, safety, and are shaping the future of space technology and industry solutions.
You will report directly to our Sr Space Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Glendale, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- You will work closely with a large cross-functional and cross-site team (including program management, advanced technology, engineering, and business development) as well as with customer design teams.
- Become a technical expert for CDRILS and oversee all aspects of system qualification
- Develop, decompose and manage requirements and V&V process
- Become highly knowledgeable in other ECLSS (Environmental Controls and Life Support Systems) technologies for future road mapping
U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 5+ years of relative experience with 2+ years in space applications
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual and export control requirements
