As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II here at Honeywell,
you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our
manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing
strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement
initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve
operational excellence.
You will report directly to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of ourTucson, AZ location.
In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by optimizing
production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your
contributions will lead to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved
quality in our manufacturing operations. Your expertise will help us stay at
the forefront of advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure that we deliver
innovative and high-quality products to our customers. Your contributions will
directly impact our bottom line and help us maintain our position as a global
technology leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues promptly
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, implement cost-effective solutions, and ensure that manufacturing operations are optimized for efficiency
- Create and maintain accurate documentation related to manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, maintenance, quality, and procurement, to ensure smooth production processes.
- Identify potential risks in the manufacturing process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards

YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years' experience in production/manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience with computer assisted drafting/design programs (Autocad, MiniTab and Labview preferred)
